Shadows Sing Side-Stories Ch.3 Part 4

I fear the things I don't know. Some much of who Roxanne is, how she came to us, and her absents now, frightens me. I don't see it as practical, natural, or logical. I wanted to make sense of it, to understand her but I never knew where or how to start. Even she doesn't remember her parents. Apart from blood work done that proved that she was related to my wife, we had no way of knowing who her father was or who likely her other blood relatives could be.  I scratch my head with frustration and lean back in my office chair.  "Not knowing where to begin. Perhaps what I do know will help me find some type of closer," I say to myself as I start to stand up.  I leave the office room and open a closet door. Hanging a hook on the left-hand side is an attic pull-down hook. I take the attic hook and make my way to open the attic door. I pulled down the dusty old ladder and started my climb up. Hello, delightful gems,   You might have hear the news that the first book of Shadows Sing is now available for pre-order. Earlier this week, I sent out quick messages to let you all know, on my Facebook page and Twitter account, about where you can find my first book. The one good thing Apple is doing that I have not seen the other stories do (despite me gi

Of course, the topic of what could have happened to explain what I saw never left my mind for weeks after. When I was not buzzy with work, I spent my free time finding books on the rare light phenomenon, books on rare biological conditions, and surfing the web to see if anyone has seen something similar. But as expected nothing came up. I had a hard time having to except that I couldn't find a solid answer, but I tried to leave it that Roxanne is not a normal child.  That does make me wonder, how could hair look like a living organ? It has been a few years since I last looked for an answer. I could see if any more theories could support what I saw that day. Perhaps an experiment to the purpose for my next project that I am coming up blank? No. I know what management would say. I would be the laughingstock of the lab. Although it's not like I am coming up with anything better. Perhaps if I explain that it is a small project to help me through my current rough patch they could un
